Le sue prime esperienze professionali la portano ad avvicinarsi al mondo del restauro e a specializzarsi in affreschi e dipinti murali. Questa attività, che contribuisce a mantenere vivo l'interesse per l'arte, è nel contempo determinante per sviluppare quelle particolari tecniche e materiali che utilizza nelle sue opere.

È proprio il lavoro a pochi centimetri da intonaci e materiali antichi che la porta a interessarsi a tele, carte, oli, stucchi e pigmenti naturali e al modo di consolidarli e preservarli, grazie a resine particolari, adesivi e polveri metalliche.

Appena discende dai ponteggi di qualche cupola, nel suo laboratorio di Borgo S.Martino esprime tutto il suo percorso artistico, con risultati che amiamo definire ammalianti: il colore acquista una propria forma plastica e si trasforma in onde che si infrangono e si mischiano in texture sempre diverse.

Una dimensione che non si limita alla vista, ma che si vorrebbe esplorare con il tatto, lasciandoci indecisi: stiamo ammirando una tela o una scultura?

L'aspetto che colpisce di più è il senso di elevazione profonda che comunicano le sue opere.. A differenza di altri autori che hanno fissato in modi simili l'universo materico, qui siamo trasportati verso l'alto, in mondi pieni di luce e di riflessi capaci di illuminare il profondo dell'anima.

Stefania Dolce is born in Casale Monferrato in 1974. Her first artistic training took place at the high school of her city.

She then decided to continue her studies at the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) in Milan, where she specialized in illustration.

Her first professional experiences led her to approach the world of restoration and to specialize in frescoes and murals. This activity, which helps to keep alive the interest in art, is at the same time crucial for the development of those particular techniques and materials that he uses in his works.

It is precisely the work a few centimeters from plaster and ancient materials that leads her to take an interest in canvases, papers, oils, stuccos and natural pigments and consolidate and preserve them, thanks to special resins, adhesives and metal powders.

As soon as she descends from the scaffolding of some domes, in her workshop in Borgo S.Martino expresses all her artistic path, with results that we like to define bewitching: the color acquires its plastic form and turns into waves that break and mix into always different plots.

A dimension that is not limited to sight, but that we would like to explore with tact, leaving us indecisive: we are admiring a canvas or a sculpture?

The most surprising aspect is the sense of profound elevation that communicates her works. Unlike other authors who have fixed the material universe in similar ways, here we are transported upward, in worlds full of light and reflections capable of illuminating the depths of the soul.
